This has been a very rough summer, emotionally. I’m not always able to express my emotions. When I am, they seem to lunge out at me suddenly. I’m unprepared for the tidal wave in my heart and my mind. I’ve a tendency toward numbness. This is the worst… feeling so sad that you ache and being unable to find release. Therefore, let me introduce you to a fantastic article I’ve found which has several of my personal favorite cry, cry, cryin’ songs.
“If you know someone who’s depressed, please resolve to never ask them why. Depression isn’t a straightforward response to a bad situation; depression just is, like the weather. Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness, and loneliness they’re going through. Be there for them when they come through the other side. It’s hard to be a friend to someone who’s depressed, but it’s one of the kindest, noblest, and best things you will ever do.”
“The sad truth is the truth is sad.”
